I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
